A Healthier You Day 14
Laughter does your heart good, as a cardio exercise would. Laugh More, Everyday
Laughter is good for the soul. But it also does your body a whole lot of good. Fortunately, it is free.
Why Should You Laugh More?
- Studies have found that laughter increases the activities of natural killers (a type of white blood cells that fight bacteria and viruses) in the body. This means you significantly boost your immune functions when you laugh more.
- Laughter also increases your body’s pain tolerance.
- It reduces the effect of stress on the body, including signs of aging.
- It increases blood flow by stimulating your brain to produce beta-endorphins leading to the release of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide dilates your blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow through them.
And yes, laughing more also means you have to:
- Learn to forgive quickly.
- Learn not to take things and people’s behaviors to heart.
- Overcome worry and anxiety.
- Cultivate a habit of making others happy.
Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon every day. Its always exciting to read articles from other authors and use something from other sites.
