Praying the Prayers Paul Prayed for the Church

Prayers Paul prayed for the church

We all know the story of Apostle Paul, who was a fierce persecutor of the church after Jesus had risen. However, after his encounter on his way to Damascus, he became one of the greatest Apostles of Jesus.

First, he traveled to up to 50 cities and planted several churches in these locations. Those he discipled will also set up churches in their localities. Eventually, the letters Paul wrote to these churches make up more than half of the New Testament Books. But that’s not all.

These letters contain the tenets of our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. In other words, no other person in Scripture demystifies the concept of salvation in Christ as much as the Apostle Paul did. As he wrote these letters, he also prayed for the people of these churches.

Why Do We Need the Prayers Paul Prayed for these Churches?

Now, if he had this depth of revelation about God and salvation, wouldn’t it be wise to pay attention to the prayers Paul prayed for every one of those to whom he wrote?

Well, I believe that based on his revelation of Christ, he’d also be able to understand what manner of prayer should be prayed to better understand and come to the fullness of the essence of salvation.

So, if your aim is ever to pray yourself into God’s perfect design for saving you, why not add the prayers Paul prayed for the churches to your prayer points?
